the sweets

At Momenteeria, sweets aren't just desserts: they're small, unrepeatable moments to be savored with emotion.

Every creation is born from the hands of Rita Strati, Momenteeria's resident cake designer. An architect by training, an artist by vocation, Rita brings years of research, aesthetic sensitivity, and experimentation to the pastry shop. She is the creator of her own layered shortcrust pastry technique, a process that makes each dessert recognizable and unique.

There are no cookie cutters here. Each cookie is carved by hand, one by one, with a small carving knife. It's a slow, patient process that makes every piece unique: no two are alike. Because beauty, like the most precious moments, never repeats itself the same way.

Momenteeria's desserts tell the story of the world of tea through original and iconic recipes. Like the Tea-Ramisu, prepared with homemade ladyfingers and the intense aroma of Lapsang Souchong tea instead of classic coffee. Or Momenteeria, the dessert that bears the house's name: a cocoa shortcrust pastry with matcha white chocolate and raspberry jam, where balance, color and flavor meet.

Among the most loved creations is the Happy Thought CookieA small, decorated shortbread box containing a handwritten message written in edible marker. Every thought is different. Every cookie is a surprise.

Then there is the Sant'Ambrogio biscuit, a tribute to the basilica overlooking Momenteeria. Hand-carved and always different, it celebrates the connection to the neighborhood and to Milan through an artistic sign that changes every time.

And still the famous Sacher biscuit, capable of enclosing all the flavour of the historic Viennese cake in a biscuit, which over the years has become one of the most loved desserts by our guests.

Our shortbreads are also dressed in nature: edible flowers, tea leaves, and botanical details become part of the decoration and flavor.

Because at Momenteeria, desserts follow the rhythm of the seasons. Each season brings its own ingredients, colors, and decorations. Inspiration comes from nature and Milan: the ginkgo leaves in Piazza Sant'Agostino that brighten autumn, the magnolia petals of Santa Maria delle Grazie that herald spring, the city's atmosphere that slowly changes throughout the year.

Every dessert tells a story. And evokes an emotion.
